Cleaning dust can be one of the most difficult cleaning jobs especially for someone who suffers from seasonal allergies. The first thing to consider is your health. If you are have alleries then dusting may make them worse as more dust is dispersed into the air with the best techniques.  Consider wearing a dust mask with a N95 rating to reduce the impact.

There are many tools that can be used for dusting

3. Microfiber towels and mits

Alwasys start dusting with the highest areas first and work your way down and around the room in a specific direction.   In this manner, you will not knock dust onto anything that you have already cleaned.  Further, operating with a systema and pattern will ensure you do not miss areas to be dusted.  Ensure you replace soiled microfiber cloths as needed.  You will need an ample supply to finish the area to be cleaned.

Once all the dusting is complete vacuum carpeted areas or dust mop hard surfaces.  One of the elements in dusting is keeping the floor surfaces clean.  Most dust comes from the floor.   Ensure your facility has ample walk off matting at the doors to trap dirt at the door.  Vacuums used should have HEPA filters to trap all the dust and dirt in the vacuum.

1. First prevent as much dust and dirt from entering your home or office with walk off mats,
2. Clean your walk off mats daily or as required based on traffic
3. Keep you hard floors and carpets clean, frequency of cleaning depends on traffic
4. Dust regularly preferable with a hand towel and vacuum dust as much as is reasonable
